Gov. Fletcher Adjourns Special Session

Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher says Kentucky lawmakers need to take some time to resolve issues before continuing a special session of the General Assembly.

For that reason, the governor has decided to adjourn the session until July 30th. House members voted to adjourn the special session last week, saying the special session was unnecessary.

House Speaker Jody Richards said it's unlikely Kentucky House members will reconvene. Richards says as far as he's concerned, the session is over.
