1,000 Pounds of Copper Stolen

Police in South Charleston say they’ve recovered nearly 1,000 pounds of stolen copper.

Officers arrested Rodger Wooten. He's charged with breaking into the FMC plant in South Charleston.

Witnesses called police when they saw Wooten cutting into a locked gate. When police arrived they say they found several large strands of stolen copper from the plant.

Officers say it was stashed in the truck Wooten was driving. He's now charged with breaking and entering.
