UPDATE: Copper Thieves Knock Out Phone Service

Verizon customers in Alum Creek didn't have phone service Tuesday and the company says copper thieves are to blame.

Someone cut the line and stole the copper, putting about 400 customers without service.

A company official says it took several hours to replace the cable line, but phone service has been restored.

No arrests have been made in the case.
