Police Investigate Cigarette Theft

The Ashland Police Department is investigating the theft of $2,700.00 in cigarettes from Speedway at 607 Winchester Avenue. Surveillance cameras in the store captured a man and woman on video committing the theft. Detectives believe it may be connected to a series of similar thefts in Olive Hill, Maysville and Covington, Kentucky.

Police describe the suspects as a white male, 5-10 to 6'0", 170-180 lbs., with short brown hair. He was wearing a long sleeve button up shirt with tie, cargo type pants with a ear rings. The second suspect is a woman, approximately 30 years old, 5-08 to 5-10, 175 lbs, with long brown hair and wearing a green American Eagle t-shirt.
