It's a small change, that many are hoping has a big impact in the Kanawha Valley.

The stretch of Washington Street from Brooks to Leon Sullivan Way is now open to traffic going both directions!

It's a big improvement for the CAMC Emergency Room. Now ambulances won't have to make a trip around the block to drop off patients.

It's also a chance to open up the area around the Clay Center; making it easier for people who come to downtown Charleston to enjoy shows there. The same is true for people wanting to go to Appalachian Power Park.
