I-64 Eastbound Lanes Re-open

An oil spill closed a portion of the Interstate Sunday afternoon for about two hours. Just after 4 o'clock, police began allowing traffic to use the eastbound lanes again.

Earlier in the day an oil spill shut down part of I-64. Police dispatchers told WSAZ that the eastbound lanes from Montrose to Westmoreland were closed because of the spill and that police wanted drivers to use an alternate route.

No word yet on what caused the oil spill.
