Detectives say they've recovered Kurt Wilt's car at his mother's house in Frostburg, Maryland. Police say they believe he was recently there -- and they have information that he fled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, or even Florida.

A crime task force from Maryland raided the house Tuesday night. Detectives say it appears Wilt cleaned up the car, but they're still processing it for evidence.

Police are still asking for anyone with information about Wilt to call them: (304) 348-6480.

Police have dropped all charges against Shanah Burks. Detectives tell us they believe she was not aware of the crime.

A new twist in the case: police say Burks and the victim, Jason Venanzi, knew each other.

"They were friends," said Sergeant Aaron James with the Charleston Police Department. "She had stayed for a while at his house last year when she was down on her luck. He allowed her to say there, borrow a vehicle of his to get back on his feet."

Police are still looking for Kurt Jason Wilt. They think he's at Myrtle Beach. See the picture we now have of Wilt. Police are still asking for anyone with information about Wilt to call them: (304) 348-6480.

Detectives also say the victim may have been killed with his own gun that had been stolen just moments before he walked in his house.

Charleston Police say they have two suspects in custody and a warrant out for a third person in connection with a murder in North Charleston last week.

Detectives charged Charles Ray Skiles Jr, 26 of Belle, and his girlfriend Shanah Jade Burks, 22 of Belle, in the death of Jason Venanzi.

The warrant is issued for Kurt Jason Wilt, 26 of Frostburg, Maryland. Police believe he fled to Maryland after the shooting at Venanzi’s house.

Police tell WSAZ Skiles and Wilt broke into Venanzi's house on Larchmont Drive -- and when Venanzi walked in and confronted them, they attacked him. Investigators say the suspects hit Venanzi in the head several times with a blunt object, possibly the butt of a hand gun, before he was shot one time in the head, killing him instantly.

Police later learned that Skiles and Wilt allegedly hid the murder weapon in an abandoned house on Stover Drive in Dunbar. Inside the house, detectives found two handguns that were stolen from Venanzi's house. However, police say the murder weapon was not found in the house.

Burks is charged with murder and aiding & abetting because police say she gave false information to cover for her boyfriend.

Detectives are trying to track down Wilt in Maryland. State Police are actively searching for him there. Detectives believe evidence from the murder may be in Wilt's car. If you have any information, call the Charleston Police at (304) 348-6480.
