A little home improvement is on the horizon for the Marshall softball team.

The program will be getting a new home that could be ready as early as next season. Friday, the Marshall Board of Governors approved the construction of a new softball facility that will include offices and a clubhouse along with a state-of-the-art field.

The new park will be built near Third Avenue and 22nd Street, where the Old Monkey Bar is located now.

Marshall President Stephen Kopp said it is a welcome project that should begin construction in the next month or two.

Dr. Kopp tells us construction will be paid for from private fund-raising.
