New Copper Theft Arrests

The latest twist in theft of copper involves pallbearers at a funeral.

According to a published report Joshua Rose of Fort Gay, Eddie Brumfield of Genoa and Steve McDonald of Wayne County were traveling to Mingo County for a funeral, but ended up in jail on copper theft charges.

The trio is accused of cutting copper wires off telephone polls in the Marrowbone area. They face charges of petit larceny and destruction of property.
