Verizon reports that more than 100 people in Kanawha County are still without phone service after copper cable was stolen.

It happened Friday night in the Alum Creek area.

A spokesperson for Verizon says 125 customers are still without phone service, but several hundred were without service at one point this weekend.

Workers are currently placing new cable and phone service is expected to be restored by 7pm Monday.
