Former prisoner of war and new mother Jessica Lynch is donating stuffed animals to children.
She's launching a campaign today called "Jessi's Pals." The goal is to increase donations to West Virginia University Children's Hospital in Morgantown.
Lynch was severely injured in Iraq in 2003 when her Army convoy was ambushed. Eleven soldiers in the convoy were killed. Lynch and five others were captured.
The Wirt County native was later rescued by American troops from an Iraqi hospital and became an instant celebrity.
Lynch named her six-month-old daughter Dakota in honor of a friend killed in the ambush.
