More than $5 million will soon help you get around West Virginia, both in and out of a car.

Wednesday morning, Governor Joe Manchin handed out grants to help with sidewalk projects, road construction, and bike paths. 22 counties received the money

"Telling the story is one thing, but actually viewing it and bringing it alive with sound, it's a whole totally different experience. What we're going to do once you come to visit Point Pleasant and Mason County with this program is bring our history alive with this program,” Charles Humphreys of Pt. Pleasant said

Besides money for Mason County, some of the big projects funded for our region include sidewalks in Winfield along Route 35, new historical highway markers across the state, and redevelopment of the 4th Avenue Corridor in Huntington.
