Car Hit By Train

A woman was injured in a train accident in eastern Kanawha County. The accident happened around 11:30am Monday in Hugheston.

Police say Pat Peters had stopped at the tracks and had started to cross when she heard the train coming. She told officers that she tried to put the car into reverse. But she had trouble getting the gear to move in time and the front of the car was clipped by the train. Peters was treated for a cut to her head. 2 other people, Lynn Balser and Janet Johnson, were inside the car but they weren't hurt in the accident.
