Aloha!

Today our group had a leisure day on their own. Several took the opportunity to take a "Road To Hana" trip along the tropical coast of Maui seeing rich tropical landscapes and hundreds of water falls cascading into the Pacific.

Many opted for the tour boats out between Maui and Pineapple Island to watch for whales. In the winter time, hump backs enter this area to breed and many are seen cruising the channels between the islands.

However, several of our group including this "beach bum," elected to enjoy the sandy beach near the Hyatt Regency Resort and swim in the most beautiful pool facility many of our group have ever seen.

We certainly enjoyed the down time to just relax and do what we wanted. My daughter, Kristen, and I are looking forward to an exciting day on the ocean tomorrow as we travel to several islands to "snorkel" the blue water bays of the Pacific.
