WHEELERSBURG, Ohio (WSAZ) -- It was an emotional homecoming Saturday afternoon for eighteen-year-old Devon Hamilton.

Three months ago, a car crash left Devon with spinal injuries and paralysis. Saturday, she came home to generous gift.

Dozens of volunteers built a handicapped accessible room for Devon so she wouldn't have to live in a nursing home.

Devon's brother, Zach Hamilton says, "It's nice to see peole care that much and it really means a lot to me and my family."

Saturday afternoon all those volunteers, neighbors and friends waited patiently for Devon to come home. Many of them had cameras in hand and signs hanging from the front porch.

In the distance, the Bikers For Christ led Devon and her parents home.

After a tour of her new bedroom, Devon reunited with her dog Teddy and gave a gesture of thanks to her supporters; a sign of a lucky young lady surrounded by the love of her community.
