A man was hurt in a wreck in Kanawha County Friday morning.

It happened in Mink Shoals near the boat ramp on Pennsylvania Avenue in Mink Shoals.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department says the driver of the truck, David Crookshanks, 47 of Charleston, was heading north on Route 119 when his pickup truck went off the road and over a hill into the Elk River.

Crookshanks was able to crawl out of the truck -- and emergency crews found him on the nearby ramp.

Deputies say Crookshanks' injuries do not appear to be life threatening. Investigators are still looking into what caused the crash.

I'm not real familier with Kanawha county, so I was hoping you could help me out here. How can he just be driving along, on Rt. 119, and just end up in the river from a ramp? A little ironic isn't it? Sorta funny to me.
