The dangerously lethal drug used to euthanize dogs has been turned in to the Gallia County Sheriff's Department.
A box containing 20 vials of the drug Euthasol and a box of syringes were delivered to the shelter while the dog warden was out on a call. That’s when someone stole them.
According to the sheriff, the man who turned them in said he learned the drugs were poison and wanted to make sure they wouldn't be used to hurt anyone. He told deputies the men who actually stole the poison were going to throw it into Raccoon Creek or bury it in the ground.
