Police in Ohio have arrested two men and charged them with stealing copper by cutting telephone wires.
Lawrence County Sheriff's Office arrested 20-year-old Matthew Bloomfield and 21-year-old Phillip Delong.
Sheriff Tim Sexton says the two would steal the wire and then sell the copper to scrap yards. Sheriff Sexton estimates the thefts cost the AT&T phone company $30,000 and disrupted phone service to rural Lawrence County residents.
The two are now face charges of felony theft and disrupting a public utility service.
