A man from Huntington has been charged with first degree arson and attempted murder after investigators say he set fire to an apartment.

Danny Ray Aliff was charged over the weekend. Police say Aliff set the fire after accusing the man who lived in the apartment of having a relationship with his girlfriend. Police say Aliff then blocked the exit with a love seat. The man who lived in the apartment and his brother were treated with smoke inhalation.

Aliff remains in the Western Regional Jail on $20,000 bond.
