Woman Accused of Stabbing Sister

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police say a fight between sisters sent one of them to the hospital.

Charleston Police say a 17-year-old girl went to Charleston Memorial with a knife wound to her wrist.

The fight actually happened on Roosevelt Avenue around midnight Wednesday night.

Police tell us that the girl and her 21-year-old sister, Rachel Abshire, were fighting over missing boots and cash.

The younger girl told police the fight was broken up then her sister came back and swung a knife at her, cutting her on the wrist. She was taken to the hospital by her mother. She reportedly received a couple of stitches to close the wound.

Abshire had left the house but later returned and that's when she arrested and charged with malicious wounding.
