Folks in parts of central Ohio are dealing with the deepest floodwaters in a lifetime.

After days of heavy rains from severe thunderstorms the sun is finally shining over the inundated town of Findlay.

Water has virtually swamped the entire town, closing schools and businesses and leaving many cars abandoned.

Governor Ted Strickland declared emergencies in nine northern counties Wednesday.
