For weeks now, police have been searching for escaped bank robber Tony Artrip, it appears he went north.
Police in Monroe, Michigan, believe he robbed a bank in their town.
It happened Tuesday morning.
They say he had a handgun and left in a stolen Ford pickup.
Police say they had him cornered at a house in Newport, Michigan, when he jumped out the window and ran into the woods.
This isn't the first time Artrip has gotten away from police.
He's been seen in the Ashland area several times.
Artrip has been on the run since escaping from a Grant County jail in northern Kentucky back on June 24.
He was awaiting sentencing in two bank robberies.
One in South Point, Ohio, and another in Ormond Beach, Florida.
