The man some dubbed as the alleged “Duct Tape Bandit” appeared in court Friday morning.

Kasey Kazee of Ashland, Kentucky, was arraigned on a robbery charge in Boyd County Circuit Court.

Police say Kazee tried to rob Shamrock Liquors in Ashland after disguising himself with duct tape wrapped around his head.

Pictures of Kazee and the video of his jailhouse interview have made their way all over the internet since his arrest.

During Friday’s court appearance, Kazee pleaded not guilty to the charge. A November 7 trial date was set.

Kazee’s attorney told us that he made ask for change of venue in the case due to all the pre-trial publicity.
