Two Sissonville Middle School students are charged with battery and brandishing a weapon after a student was cut four times.

It happened Tuesday.

Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies say the students constructed a homemade knife/shank and then each cut another student with it twice. The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Deputies say the boys were not fighting or arguing, but "horse play."
