CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Workforce West Virginia says it's going to distribute more than 3,000 vouchers for free online computer training.

The agency says it's going to start handing out the vouchers Tuesday. It's targeting unemployed workers.

Unemployment has been improving in West Virginia, though it remains high. Workforce West Virginia says the rate dipped from 10.1 percent to 8.9 percent in April.

The vouchers are good for classes offered by Microsoft Corp. through a program called Elevate America. Nationally, the company is providing 1 million vouchers for free classes.
