Larry Mathenys family are in our prayers, and we will help his family in anyway possible, if that means closing the schools,SO BE IT. Mason County Employees are heart broken with the lost of Larry, and our heart aches for his beloved family. My comment to the person complaining about the schools being closed, Is it fair for the children,co-workers, to continue on with the daily routine upset over losing a special person as Larry Matheny...??? No, as a school bus driver we have to keep our thoughts clear to transport these children safely to and from school. Now that we have closure, on the loss of a Dear Friend, and Co-Worker we can continue on. Larry, you might be gone from us but you will never be forgotten. Thank you WSAZ for covering this story in such a respectful manner, and giving the Matheny Family, and others the space,so we could give our final respects to a wonderful man, Larry Matheny and his Great Family.

To "Why" -- Perhaps, as the article suggests, this man was an extraordinary person (that means, much better than average) and meant a lot to the people in Mason County? Just a (not-so callous) thought.
