Route 62 Reopens in Buffalo after Accident, 2 Hurt

UPDATE 2/17/14 @ 8:25 a.m.
PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Route 62 in Putnam County is now back open to traffic after a head-on collision.

The accident was reported just after 7 a.m. near the Buffalo Tiger Mart in Buffalo.

Putnam County Sheriff's Deputies tell WSAZ.com two pickup trucks hit head-on, but they're still investigating what caused the crash.

The passenger in one of the trucks had to be cut out of the vehicle. Both the passenger and driver in this same truck were taken to the hospital. No word on their conditions.

The two men in the other truck were not hurt.

Route 62 was closed for about an hour while emergency crews were on scene.
