Accident Sends One Person to Hospital in Kanawha County

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person was taken to the hospital after an accident in Kanawha County.

The accident was reported just after 7 a.m. Monday along Coal River Road near St. Albans.

State Police tell WSAZ.com the driver of a pickup truck was on Vorpe Road and attempting to turn on Coal River Road when he pulled into the path of an oncoming Jeep.

The impact of the accident sent both vehicles into a nearby field.

One person in the Jeep was taken to the hospital. No word on the extent of the injuries.
