UPDATE: Davis Creek Road Reopened After Accident

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Davis Creek road has reopened.

The road was shut down Saturday just before 10:00 p.m. after a car crash sent two people to the hospital about a half a mile from Davis Creek Elementary.

The car hit a telephone pole which split and was in the middle of the road for several hours.

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two men have been taken to the hospital after a car crash on Davis Creek Road.

It happened just before 10:00 p.m. Saturday -- about half a mile from Davis Creek Elementary.

As of 11:30 p.m. -- emergency responders say the road will be closed for several more hours.

They say the car hit a telephone pole, which split and is now in the middle of the road.

The names and conditions of the two men involved in the crash have not yet been released.

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A heavily traveled road in the area is closed due to an accident.

911 dispatchers tell WSAZ.com that Davis Creek Road on Alternate Route 10 will be shut down for the next several hours.

Just before 10:00 p.m. there was a single car crash.

Dispatchers say people were transported to the hospital but they are not sure how many.
