HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A crash between an ambulance and a car Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and 25th Street in East Huntington sent two people to the hospital.
Despite the severity of the crash, both victims escaped serious injuries.
The crash was reported about 2:45 p.m., and the severity of it was caught on surveillance video. It shows a car going north on 25th Street through the intersection of 3rd Avenue. The car drives into the path of a westbound ambulance on 3rd Avenue and is struck in the passenger side. The impact causes both vehicles to skid several feet, with the ambulance rolling on top of the car.
The ambulance driver managed to climb out of the ambulance and begin administering aid to a woman in the car who suffered cuts from broken glass.
The ambulance driver and the woman from the car were taken to St. Mary's Medical Center.
