PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Another public hearing took place Monday night in the school calendar debate for Putnam County Schools.

The school board had the hearing to give parents, students and staff an idea of the two options they are considering for the upcoming year.

Board members said they are leaning toward option one, which has a slightly earlier start date of Aug. 18. Students' last day would be June 1.

The board said it will vote on the calendar April 15.
