MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- State Police have released the names of the man and woman killed in an apparent murder suicide in Mingo county.
Troopers were called to a home on East Fork at Twelve Pole in Dingess just after 9:30 p.m Sunday.
State Police say that according to witnesses, William Browning, 45, and Teri Ann Browning, 32, had been in a domestic altercation prior to shots being fired.
The preliminary investigation found that Mr. Browning shot Ms. Browning and then shot himself.
Emergency workers said there were children inside the home at the time of the shootings. Troopers say two children are now in the care of Child Protection Services.
Neighbors said they heard yelling and screaming before the shots rang out.
Police were called to a home on 12th Pole Creek Road in the Dingess area of Mingo County just after 10 p.m. Sunday.
Investigators tell WSAZ.com they found a husband and wife shot dead inside the home. It is still unclear what may have sparked the shootings.
Emergency workers say there were kids inside the home at the time of the shootings.
Neighbors describe hearing yelling and screaming before the shots rang out.
