UPDATE: Arrest Made in Nettie Armed Robbery

NICHOLAS COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man has been charged in an armed robbery in Nicholas County.

The robbery was reported at 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Nettie Go-Mart.

According to a news release, Thomas Christian Caufield, 29, of Richwood, was arrested Wednesday and charged with armed robbery.

NICHOLAS COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Nicholas County Sheriff's Department is investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in Nettie.

The robbery was reported at 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Nettie Go-Mart.

According to a news release, the robber came in the store and confronted the clerk with a gun and demanded money. The man ran away with the money and headed towards Route 20.

The robber was wearing a blue and white flannel jacket and hoodie, sunglasses, bandana and dark pants, according to the release. He was described as approximately 5'6" tall and approximately 150 to 165 pounds.
