WELLSTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- An armed robbery suspect on the run from Columbus was arrested in Wellston, Ohio.
Tuesday, Columbus Police notified Wellston Police that a fugitive was at a home on South Main Avenue in Wellston.
At 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wellston Police, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office and the Ohio Highway Patrol went to the residence.
They found the suspect, Brad Mendenhall, hiding in a large pile of brush beside the house.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
Acting Police Chief Tim Ackley says "the invaluable assistance rendered by assisting agencies was the key to the successful apprehension of the wanted fugitive."
