Army Deserter Found in Kanawha County

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man who left the army is now behind bars.
According to a news release, Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies received a tip Matthew Jack Kirk, 35, of Charleston, was staying at his parent’s home in Kanawha County.
Just before 5 p.m. deputies found Kirk and took him into custody without incident, deputies say.
Kirk was taken to the South Central Regional Jail. He will stay there until he's picked up by the Army.
