UPDATE 8/24/12 @ 11:10 p.m.
ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- An Ashland woman was found safe Friday night after being missing for more than a week, Kentucky State Police say.

Kathy Adams, 44, was reported missing Aug. 13.

UPDATE 8/20/12 @ 10 p.m.
ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A family is growing more concerned with each day that goes by without knowing the whereabouts or condition of their loved one.

"I feel like my stomach is just tore up all the time,” Tom Adams said. “My nerves are shot."

Tom and his wife Kathy, better known by friends and family as Lori, have been together 12 years. For the past seven days, though, Tom hasn't known where or how she is.

"I've never been through anything like this," he said.

Tom says they were visiting at a friend's house near Railroad Avenue and 31st Street in Ashland last week.

He was playing horseshoes in the back yard when she left in their car. That's the last time anyone's reported seeing her.

Lori's mother Kay Lucas says earlier last Monday the two had stripped wallpaper at Kay's home in Wurtland, Ky. Kay says there was no indication anything was wrong.

"We really are concerned and want to know where she is, and mainly that she's OK," she said.

When Tom got back to his house, three pillows, a blanket and a tube of toothpaste were gone.

He thought at first maybe she was just upset and needed to get away, but with each day that goes by with no one hearing from her, he's growing more and more afraid.

"I'm just afraid something has happened to her,” he said. “I have no idea."

Kentucky State Police now have a possible temporary registration tag number for the car. It's 6485962.

She was driving a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix that had been damaged in several places.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police Detective Squad at 1-800-222-5555 or 606-928-6421. Callers may remain anonymous.
