RIPLEY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An assistant football coach at Ripley High School was arrested after allegedly hitting hitting his sister in the face and breaking her jaw during a family yard sale, according to a criminal complaint from Jackson County Magistrate Court.

James Abshire, 58, of Ripley, was charged with unlawful wounding.

The incident allegedly happened July 2 at a home along Klondyke Road in Ripley. There allegedly was an argument about the price of a bike that had been sold. The victim said her brother hit her in the face, knocking her to the ground. A witness told deputies that Abshire "used a football move" to hit his sister.

The victim was taken to Jackson General Hospital where she was treated for a broken jaw. Her jaw is currently wired shut, according to the complaint.
