CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- State auditors say Mason County is
addressing financial problems and other issues in its school
system.
The Office of Education Performance Audits is recommending that the state Board of Education continue the school system's full accreditation.
The recommendation comes a little more than a year after the
office uncovered financial, leadership and other problems.
Media outlets report that an audit released Wednesday by the
office found that the county has corrected many of the
deficiencies.
