UPDATE: U.S. 23 Reopen after Boyd County Crash

BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- U.S. 23 has reopened after being shut down for more than 90 minutes Friday night because of a two-car crash near the intersection of Alley Branch Road, Boyd County 911 dispatchers say.

Two medical transport helicopters responded to the scene, which is south of the junction of U.S. 23 and Interstate 64.

The crash was reported at 9:21 p.m. Friday.

The extent of the victims' injuries was unavailable late Friday.

BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- U.S. 23 is closed in both directions late Friday night near the intersection of Alley Branch Road because of a two-car crash, Boyd County 911 dispatchers say.

A landing zone was being set up for a helicopter. The wreck happened in an area just south of the junction of U.S. 23 and Interstate 64.

More than one person is said to be seriously injured.

The crash was reported at 9:21 p.m. Friday.
