UPDATE: Teen Killed in Crash on Industrial Parkway
UPDATE 12/19/12 @ 5:30 p.m.
GREENUP, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A teenager is dead following an accident in Greenup County, and troopers say it appears alcohol or drugs may have been a factor in the crash.
Kentucky State Police say Nathaniel Nickell, 18, of Ashland, Ky., died in the accident.
Troopers say Nickel was driving west on Lost Lick Road when he failed to stop as he turned onto the Industrial Parkway ( KY 67). Investigators say that is when he crashed into a pickup truck traveling south on the Parkway. Both vehicles ended up off of the road and in a field following the crash.
Nickell was taken to Our Lady of Bellfonte Hospital where he died.
Troopers say Nickell was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his car.
The two people in the pickup were both taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital where they are listed in fair condition.
Kentucky State Police say they believe drugs or alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
UPDATE 12/19/12 @ 2 p.m.
GREENUP, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Three people have been transported to area hospitals after a crash on the Industrial Parkway.
The crash happened about 12:30 p.m. at Lost Lick Road.
Kentucky State Police tell WSAZ.com that a truck and car were involved in the crash.
KSP says a car pulled out from Lost Lick Road in front of a truck traveling from Greenup and the truck hit the car. Both vehicles ended up in the grass beside of the road.
KSP tells WSAZ.com that the two women in the truck were airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital. They are both reported to be in stable condition.
The man driving the car was taken to Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. Crews on the scene say he is in critical condition.
Kentucky State Police say they believe drugs or alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
No names have been released at this time.

GREENUP COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident in Greenup County, Ky.
The accident happened about 12:30 p.m. on the Industrial Parkway at Sandsuck Road.
911 Dispatchers say there are injuries, but no other details are being released at this time.
Right now, Sandsuck Road is blocked. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
