CLENDENIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Black ice is to blame for at least two accidents along Interstate 79 in Clendenin.
The accidents were reported about 8 a.m. Thursday in the southbound lanes near the Clendenin exit.
Emergency crews say during the first accident the driver of a silver truck lost control, causing his vehicle to roll over.
Then, just minutes later, another driver hit ice and lost control. The vehicle ended up in the median, stopping just short of the northbound lanes.
No one was hurt in either accident.
Several back roads in Kanawha County are snow covered and have icy spots.
Salt trucks are out treating the roads, but drivers are urged to use caution on the roads.
