BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Interstate 64 has reopened after what emergency crews are calling two separate accidents.
The crashes happened just before 9:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near the 17 mile marker which is just west of the Merritt's Creek exit.
Four cars and a tanker truck are involved in what police say is two separate crashes. Three people have reportedly been taken to local hospitals.
One lane was closed for a short time, but is has since reopened.
No word on what caused the crashes.

Barboursville Police tell WSAZ.com the initial crash involved a the semi and car. Two other cars then got into an accident trying to avoid the initial accident.
Three people have reportedly been taken to local hospitals.
One lane is closed at this time. Traffic is moving very slowly in the other lane.
