I-64 Reopens after Accident, One Hurt

UPDATE 8/13/13 @ 7:25 a.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person was taken to the hospital after an accident in Nitro.

The accident was reported just before 7 a.m. in the westbound lanes just before the Nitro exit.

Nitro Police tell WSAZ.com two cars were involved in the accident, but it's still unclear what caused it.

One woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The westbound lanes of I-64 were closed for a short time, but traffic is once again moving in the area.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An accident has shut down Interstate 64 in Nitro.

The accident was reported just before 7 a.m. in the westbound lanes just before the Nitro exit.

911 Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com two vehicles were involved in the accident and one person was hurt.

Right now, the westbound lanes of I-64 in Nitro are closed. Traffic is backed up in the area.
