UPDATE @ 3:30 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The family of a man found dead on Charleston's West Side is begging for justice.
"Uncle C" tells WSAZ.com Clinton Green, 39, of Charleston, also known by the street name "Blue" was returning home from a bar just down the street about 2 a.m. Friday when he was shot in the 900 block of Main Street.
Green's uncle lives just a block away from where the shooting happened.
Uncle C says he got a call about 2 a.m. that his nephew had been shot. When he walked onto Main Street, he found Green on the street.
Green has been involved in drugs, according to his uncle, but he doesn't know if that's the motive for his death.
He also says the violence in the city needs to stop. He's begging for someone to come forward so police can arrest the person who killed his nephew.
"We're trying to end the violence in the capital city," he said. "This is crazy, people. Come forward. Be the neighbor that you are. Come forward if you've seen anything or heard anything."
Uncle C says Green was in his 30s and has several children.
Charleston Police aren't releasing too many details at this time but said they do have a lead in the case.
"Without going into too much specifics regarding motive or theories on the crime, we do not believe there's any reason for alarm that this is any type of random crime, Charleston Police Lt. S.A. Cooper said.
