SUV Crashes into DOH Backhoe in Kanawha County

MALDEN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident involving an SUV and a DOH backhoe.

It happened about 11 a.m. at the intersection of Route 60 and Burning Springs Road in Malden.

Police say the DOH backhoe was heading west, when the driver of the SUV clipped it.

The impact caused the SUV to cross the median and flip over in the eastbound lanes.

Route 60 was closed in the area for a time, but it has reopened.
