MASON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A 21-year-old woman from Mason, W.Va., was killed in an accident on the Silver Bridge Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of the U.S. 35 bridge that spans the Ohio River between Mason County and Gallia County, Ohio.
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office says 21-year-old Ashley Morris was killed after crashing into two tractor trailers.
Investigators say her mother and fiancé were also in the car. They were not injured.
The Sheriff’s Office says the accident began when Morris collided with a semi traveling in the slow lane. That caused her car to then spin around and hit another semi that was traveling in the fast lane. They say the car then got sucked under the second semi.
Morris was not wearing a seat belt.
The accident happened about 4 p.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of the Silver Bridge in Point Pleasant.
A car and a tractor trailer were involved in the accident. One woman died in the car. There were two other passengers in the car during the crash.
Names are not being released at this time.
One lane of traffic was moving northbound at the time.

Our crew on the scene says the lanes traveling into Ohio from West Virginia are expected to be closed for another 45 minutes.
