UPDATE: Family Loses Home, Dog in Fire

DAVIS CREEK, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Firefighters are still battling a blaze in Davis Creek.

The fire broke out about 4:30 p.m. on McGhee Road.

Flames were shooting from the home when firefighters arrived.

Everyone was able to make it out of the home safely, but the family's dog did not survive.

The home is a total loss, but firefighters were able to save a garage.

There is no word on what started the fire.

DAVIS CREEK, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in Davis Creek.

The fire started about 4:30 p.m. Monday on McGhee Drive.

Dispatchers say flames were shooting from the house when firefighters arrived on the scene.

No one was inside when the fire started.
