GRAYSON, Ky. (WSAZ ) -- After up to 5 inches of rain fell on Carter County, Ky., early Friday morning, the county's EMA director is urging people to contact his office as quickly as possible.
"We need an accurate damage count," says Tom Thompson. "People need to list their damages so I can do a quick damage assessment and get these numbers in to the state."

Luckily, despite, flash flood damage and cleanup, no one was hurt. Olive Hill firemen involved in swift water rescue are actually surprised. They were called to a mobile home that had floated about 150 yards downstream along County Road 1025 with two people trapped inside."
"They were very lucky," says assist chief Jeremy Rodgers. "They feared for their life. They didn't know what was going to happen, if they were going to survive it and make it."
Ray McGlone has lived outside Olive Hill for the last 30 years. "I've never seen it like this up this hollow," McGlone says."I mean, everything's destroyed. I"m thankful I'm alive."
Carter County Dispatchers say rescue crews were sent to the area along State Highway 1025 about 3 a.m. Friday due to the flooding.
Med units had to rescue Donna Justice and her daughter, Kristen Justice, from the rising water after their mobile home was washed off its foundation.
Carter County Emergency Manager Tom Thompson tells WSAZ.com the mobile home was swept between 200 and 500 feet down stream by raging flood waters.
10 to 15 other homes in the Olive Hill area are reported damaged by the flash flooding.
There are no reported injuries.
Dispatchers also tell WSAZ.com several trees are down and many roads are impassable due to high water.

CARTER COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Carter County Emergency Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com heavy rains and flooding overnight has washed away a mobile home and damaged between 10 and 15 other homes near Olive Hill.
Dispatchers say rescue crews were sent to the area along State Highway 1025 about 3 a.m. Med units rescued two adults from the rising water.
