UPDATE: Name Released in Fatal Fire in Russell Ky.

RUSSELL, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A house fire that shut down a road in Greenup County, has also claimed one life.

Family members tell WSAZ.com that Faye Mckenzie, 75, of Russell, Ky., died in fire.

The fire broke out at the home on Diederich Boulevard about 2 a.m. Thursday.

According to a release from the Russell Police Department, the home had heavy fire and smoke damage.

No foul play is suspected at this time.

Diederich Blvd. was shut down for several hours from Red Devil Lane to Verna Drive.

RUSSELL, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Greenup County emergency dispatchers say a house fire has shut down a busy road in Russell.

Fire crews were called to the scene on Diederich Boulevard about 2 Thursday morning. Dispatchers were unable to confirm if there were any injuries from the fire.

However, Diederich Boulevard from Red Devil Lane to Verna Dr. will be closed for hours, according to Greenup County 911. Those using that route to get to Russell Primary and Russell High Schools should take an alternate route.
