NEW INFO: Man Stabbed During Fight in Kanawha County; Charges Dropped

UPDATE 8/24/12 @ 4:20 p.m.
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Charges have been dropped in connection with a stabbing in Kanawha County.

Derek Bailey was in court Friday for his preliminary hearing, but the victim in the case, Keary Drake did not want to pursue charges.

Deputies say Bailey stabbed Drake in the stomach at a house on Rutledge Road in Charleston last week.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- New details have been released about a fight that ended with one man in the hospital.

Deputies say Keary Drake was helping his niece move out of a trailer on Rutledge Road in Charleston Thursday afternoon.

Drake got into a fight with Derek Bailey and deputies say Bailey stabbed him in the stomach.

Drake had to be taken to the hospital, but he is expected to be okay.

Deputies say Bailey admitted to stabbing Drake and said he was sorry.

The apology was not enough to keep him out of trouble.

Bailey has been charged with malicious wounding.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man has been arrested after a fight crossed the line late Thursday afternoon.

Police say a man was stabbed in the stomach in the 3100-block of Rutledge Road about 3 p.m.

It all started when two men got into a fight.

The man who was stabbed was taken to the hospital, he is expected to be okay. The other man was arrested.

No names have been released.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man has been taken to the hospital after he was stabbed.

This happened in the 3100 block of Rutledge Road near Charleston about 3 p.m. Thursday.

Dispatchers say two men were fighting when one of them was stabbed in the stomach.

No names have been released.
